Repost from email alerts on DEA Raids on Medical Cannabis Dispensaries
| |||
| Marijuana Policy Project Alert | February 4, 2009 | ||
To whom it may concern: Yesterday, the federal Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) raided four medical marijuana collectives in west Los Angeles. The raids — conducted under the direction of Bush administration holdovers — took place on the very day that President Obama’s pick for Attorney General, Eric Holder, was sworn into office. As I mentioned in my blog post earlier today, these actions looked more like armed robberies than law enforcement activity. Armed agents stormed into the facilities and quickly made off with their medical marijuana and cash but, to our knowledge, didn’t arrest anyone. Raids like these and the one that occurred in South Lake Tahoe last month are exactly the kind of DEA dirty tricks that Barack Obama pledged to end during his campaign for the presidency. Please take a few minutes to e-mail Attorney General Eric Holder and urge him to put an end to these Bush-era medical marijuana raids. Using MPP’s online system, taking action is easy. Just enter the requested personal information, personalize your message, and click “send.” If you are a patient or medical professional, you should include that information in your e-mail. You can also make a difference by calling the Department of Justice’s main switchboard at (202) 514-2000 (between 6:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Pacific time) and politely asking that Attorney General Eric Holder make sure that key Bush appointees in the DEA are replaced so that the previous administration's war on medical marijuana patients can finally come to an end. Let them know that you and the vast majority of Californians are sick and tired of seeing federal tax dollars used to undermine state and local authority on this issue. Thank you for taking action to support California’s medical marijuana law and the patients who rely on it. Sincerely,
F. Aaron Smith |

Post about Michael Phelps and his weed incident
Apparently Michael Phelps was caught taking a bong hit. Everyone seems to be making a huge ass deal about it. So what, he smoked some weed. Big deal. Cannabis is safe (do some research). What he did was NOT wrong, illegal maybe but not wrong. People need to get over it.
I'm tired of all the bullshit around saying pot is bad and that it kills and all this other crap. Pot is safe, non-toxic, can't kill you (unless you are allergic to it which is very very very rare), you can't overdose on it, it has many thousands of modern uses, it won't corrupt the youth, it won't make you nuts and it will not make you aggressive.
All the stuff you hear from the DEA and other Anti-Drug organizations is total bullshit. Do yourself a favor and read ALL of the stuff at the following links. Yea it's a lot of reading but your brain deserves to have some truthful knowledge. If you DON'T read ALL of the following, then you don't care to know the truth. Ignorance isn't bliss.
